September 2026 Astrology Newsletter:
A 1-month in a 1-year doubles down on tying up loose ends and starting something new.
1 energy clears out the debris and 1 energy says ok now lets’ build something new. If you've been dragging your feet on ending something this is the month it gets easier to let go, because spirit and the universe is about to bring you a reason to move forward.
Highlights
On September 10th things start moving fast. In the span of about 36 hours, Mercury moves into Libra, Venus moves into Scorpio, and Uranus stations retrograde, and then the Virgo New Moon lands. That's a lot of weather to walk into at once. You're being asked to think, feel, and adapt all at the same time.
We’re talking about fair and honest conversations. And then Venus in Scorpio has no interest in small talk; it’s curious about what you want - in relationships, in values, everything. It’s not going to let you get away with a polite non-answer. Uranus turning retrograde doesn't undo the changes it's already set in motion this year — it just turns the review light on. Expect revisions, not reversals.
The Virgo New Moon on the 11th is your reset button this month — a metaphorical clearing of the throat before saying anything important. Use it to get specific. Example: of "I want to be healthier," think "I'm doing this one thing, three times a week." Daily habits.
The Sun crosses into Libra on the 22nd — the equinox, day and night in balance for about a minute before autumn officially takes over — and Mars follows into Leo on the 27th. So we spend the first three weeks refining and adjusting, and the last week gets some fire back. If you've felt low-energy or oddly cautious in early September, that changes once Mars gets its bearings in Leo.
Mid-month carries a quieter, slower-moving current: Neptune and Pluto ease into a sextile around the 15th–16th. Neither planet moves fast enough for this to feel like an event, but outer planet aspects like this one work in the background — softening the edge between what you believe and what you're willing to look at. Pay attention to what shows up in dreams, or in the quiet, this week.
Moon Cycles
New Moon in Virgo — September 11 18°25' Virgo
Virgo New Moons are about the unglamorous stuff: the routine you keep, the body you live in, the system you either have or don't. This comes one day after Mercury and Venus shift signs, so set an intention that's small enough to follow through on. No vague resolutions. Pick the one habit.
Full Moon in Aries — September 26 3°37' Aries
Take a deep breath with the Full Moons in Aries. As usual, Arie wants to charge ahead but with the full moon energy you need to take a moment. Check yourself. Do you need to change anything? The Sun is at the same degree in Libra, so whatever's been feeling unbalanced between what you want (Aries) and what's fair to everyone else involved (Libra) is going to be clearly lit up.
Notice. This moon family cycle began March 20, 2025. What was going on in your life around that time. That is what you need to notice and make changes if necessary.
Key Dates
September 10 — Mercury enters Libra Communication style shifts toward diplomacy and weighing both sides — good for negotiation, worth watching if it tips into avoidance.
September 10 — Venus enters Scorpio Relationships and desire get more intense and more honest. Small talk stops working; Venus wants the real thing.
September 10 — Uranus stations retrograde (5°42' Gemini) for a review. Expect revisiting of ideas and information that surfaced earlier this year, not new disruption.
September 15–16 — Neptune sextile Pluto A slow-moving, background current that softens resistance between belief and insight. Watch what surfaces in dreams or quiet moments this week.
September 22 — Sun enters Libra (Equinox) Day and night balance out, then autumn takes over. The seasonal hinge of the month — a natural point to recalibrate.
September 27 — Mars enters Leo energy comes back online after a quieter stretch. Good week to act on what September's first three weeks helped you clarify.
Closing
September hands you a full table and asks you to clear it before it hands you anything new. Don't rush the clearing. The 1 energy waiting on the other side of it isn't going anywhere — but the letting go only works if you actually let go.
